Make sure you dilute them in carrier oils before use and never take them internally.  A good general rule for diluting essential oils is to use 10 drops per 1 ounce of carrier oil.  This can change depending on how you are intending to use your essential oils and which essential oils you are choosing. This is the botanical family from which many familiar cooking herbs come, like Basil and Peppermint. It prefers to grow in tropical climates like India and Indonesia. The leaves have been used for centuries in those countries as an insect repellent, as an ingredient in sachets, and as an incense. Europeans first became familiar with Patchouli during the Victorian era, when fashionable shawls came from India impregnated with Patchouli to keep the moths away. Thus was born a fragrance fashion which is still with us today.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #000000;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003ePatchouli essential oil is a thickish, brown color and has what many describe as an earthy scent. It has the curious quality of improving with age, unlike most other essential oils. It is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, and can be used to treat athlete’s foot. It is also able to help regenerate skin cells, making it a healing agent for acne, dandruff, and cracked or chapped skin. It is antidepressant, and can be used for anxiety, stress, and nervousness. It is also good for wrinkled or weathered skin. Patchouli is often used as a fixative for other scents, as it intensifies them, and makes them last longer. Many people find that it acts as an aphrodisiac as well. Always make sure that the person you buy from can tell you both the Latin name of your oil as well as the country of origin of the oil. its deep blue color.  Yarrow oil can be used for arthritis and rheumatism.  It can be blended with Clary Sage in a massage oil used on the belly for menstrual cramps, PMS, and irregular menstruation.  Blended with Lemon and Rosemary in a massage oil, it can be used to clear lymph and deal with many complex issues such as varicose veins, gout, hemorrhoids, neuralgia, and tendonitis.  Yarrow is well known for bringing down fevers and easing discomfort from cold, flu, and upper respiratory infections.  It is also said to relieve This specific type of rose is generally not found growing wild. A sitz bath is a shallow bath intended to heal the urinary and\/or reproductive organs. Preparing a sitz bath is very easy. Simply run a shallow (hip level),warm (not hot) bath, add about 5 drops of essential oil, and swirl the water with your hand to distribute the oil evenly. Then sit in the oil-infused water for at least 10 minutes. A sitz bath with Cedarwood oil can be effective for urinary tract infections, as well as Candida, especially when a drop or two of Lavender and\/or Tea Tree is added.
