This is the second scent I’ve made inspired by the masterpiece of a novel called PIRANESI by Susanna Clarke. The scent is described in the book as being worn by an elderly scholar who smells of paper, ink, violet, and aniseed with an undertone of something fecal. To this description, I have added elements of Black Tea, stone, and Ambergris to create an impression of a man steeped in literature, mysticism, and dark academia. This is a scent which bids you follow it down a dark, musty hallway to a combination of enlightenment and danger. Perhaps you can control the descent. Perhaps not.
