Samhain is the Celtic term for the pagan New Year known as Halloween to most people. Samhain is about life, death, and rebirth. It is about harvesting the plants and animals which give us life. It is said that the veil between life and death is thin on Samhain and so we talk about ghosts and try to contact loved ones who have passed.
The scent evokes fall and the harvest with Oakmoss and Apple. It is dark, sweet, and mysterious.
People who enjoy Samhain often enjoy Yennefer’s Potion as well.
I find the scent Samhain to be one that reminds me of all the positive things and memories enveloped around the autumnal season. It's a pleasant, mildly zingy scent that brings to one's olfactories the scent of the dry leaves of the fall and the zestiness of long forgotten places; homes and shops that get that sweet, musty scent to it that is perfume to my soul. The Samhain scent is full, but not overpowering and doesn't overpower one's nose, any time of year.--FW, Vermont
