I have now read the masterwork of fiction PIRANESI by Susanna Clarke twice over the past year. Obviously, I highly recommend it. I don’t want to spoil the experience for you, but there are two characters in the book who we initially meet through their scent. The first character is only known as The Other for the first half of the book. He is what this scent is about.
The Other is a scholarly and spiritual man. Both his origins and his ethics are diffuse. His scent is described as having Rose, Sandalwood, and Coriander. To this, I have added elements of stone, cashmere, and herbs. This new scent for 2026 is not comparable to anything else within my inventory.
